The name of Cowley Workers made a welcome return to the league after several years absence and faced local rivals Cowley Con C. John Simpson got the Conservative Club off to the best possible start with a 48-24, 48-35 win against Simon Walters. Malachy McAllister got Cowley Workers back in contention when he beat Neil Kirby 50-12 in the third frame, before Kirby restored CCC’s 2 frame advantage. In the fifth frame, Lee McAllister recovered from 18 down to win 48-41 on the black and then took the final frame 71-27 to secure a draw.
