Witney E lead Division Five after their second 5-1 win of the season, this time against Eynsham C. Bob Cyphus beat Alan Wakefield 55-21, 58-29 which was followed up by Paul Keenlyside who beat Simon Harbour 44-23, 53-42. Jason Stubbs won the fifth frame 70-16 for Eynsham, but it was too little too late and Andy Keeler responded with a 76-55 win in the final frame.

Two matches in two days has lifted Oracle B into second place. The first of those matches saw them come from behind to force a draw with New Club B. Peter England was out played by Paul Moss in the first two frames, with Moss making a break of 20 in the process. Ryan Darlington took the third frame 60-54 on the black to make it 2-1, but 16 year old Luke Purcell responded 61-22 to restore New Club’s two frame advantage. Kevin Higgs then beat Simon Marriott 53-3, 57-35 in the last two frames, recording breaks of 31, 23, 19 and 15 in the process. In their second match, they were not so fortunate and went down 4-2 at home to House Club A. A break of 21 helped Sam Nichols beat Peter England 60-18, 51-42 with Tony Smith then putting House Club 4-0 up after two tight frames with Ryan Darlington. Kevin Higgs beat Brian Field in emphatic style to claim the remaining two frames for Oracle.

New Club B enjoyed a 4-2 success in a hard fought contest at home to Cowley Con D. Anthony Turner won the opening frame 53-42, but Paul Moss responded well and took the next 63-39 thanks to a break of 42. Luke Purcell beat Doug Turner 53-26, 41-28 to put New Club 3-1 ahead. Simon Painter won the fifth frame 55-48 on a respotted black. The final frame was also close, only this time victory went to New Club with Simon Marriott making a 22 break in a 52-48 frame win.
