House Club’s point, but it was small consolation.
Luke Purcell took the fourth frame 60-44, while
Simon Marriott wrapped things up 55-34, 46-35 against
Tony Nichols.
A win against Eynsham C lifts Oracle B into second place, two points behind New Club. Despite the 5-1 scoreline it was Eynsham who took the lead when Jason Stubbs beat Dave Hodgson 50-41, but breaks of 20 and 22 helped steer Hodgson to a 67-14 win in frame two. Ryan Darlington and Simon Harbour battled through two close frames with Darlington winning their first by a single point 35-34 and the second 47-35. Kevin Higgs completed a good evening for Oracle by defeating Alan Wakefield 61-9, 69-28.
