Gary Cowlin took the opening frame from Stuart Reeve 82-29 thanks to a 35 clearance and then went on to win the second 52-20. Justin Page fought hard against Tony Hicks, but could not stop Hicks claiming their frames 64-48, 64-45, Hicks hitting a break of 43 in the process. Ron Reddy made a break of 30 to complete the formalities 88-13, 64-22 against Priyan Shah.
