NEW TEAM CUP

East Oxford Con B earned their place in the Semi Finals with an assured display against Eynsham B. Julio Barresi defeated Jason Stubbs 108-47 (2 frame aggregate) with Robbie Barresi following suit 133-65 against Alan Wakefield. Tony Barresi beat Mick Lyne 51-29 in the fifth frame to secure a 5-0 win for ‘The Barresi Mafia’. The final frame was conceded.

EOC’s semi final opponents will be New Club B who enjoyed a 4-1 win against Witney D. Paul Moss was in good form and hit breaks of 13, 16, 16, 17, 19 and 26 during his 64-50, 111-23 win against Paul Keenlyside. Andy Keeler beat Andy Moss 68-32, 59-39 to level the match at 1-1. After Chris Keeler won the fifth frame 45-38 the aggregate difference was down to 39 and Witney still had a fighting chance of snatching the match. But this evaporated when Matthew Challen won the last frame for New Club.

With Littlemore RBL C and Littlemore RBL B pitched against each other the Club was assured of at least one team in the Semi Finals and it was the B side who came up trumps. Gavin Murray gave the C team the early advantage with a 4 point aggregate win against Anthony Turner (60-49, 49-56), but from then on the B side took over. Steve Fitzgerald firstly beat Leigh Davies 66-44, 75-57 while Nigel De-Banks beat Lee Haggerty 51-29, 44-43.

An all Littlemore Semi was also on the cards, with the A side facing County C. Unfortunately for Littlemore, County were far to strong and the Bicester based team ran out 5-0 winners Nigel Wilkins beat Darren Murray, Kevin Hicks beat Lee McAllister and Paul Paddick defeated McAully McAllister.
