League newcomers, Headington RBL B picked up their first win of the season in a tight encounter with fellow newcomers, New Club B. Indeed, the match could have been won by either side. Paul Moss won the opening frame by a single point from Jason Bonner to give New Club the lead, but Bonner hit back to win frame two. Wayne Monbtgomery then put the RBL ahead, before Simon Marriott levelled for New Club. Ron Glover and Andy Moss then contested two very close frames with Glover coming out top in both.
