Division Six Report - Wk11
Nov 13 2006
With five late results plus the week’s scheduled matches, it has been a very topsy turvey week in Division Six. The top two sides have swapped places with Oracle C now leading Westcott A by one point. Below them, just six points separate the remaining 6 teams. East Oxford Con A move from bottom to third, while Littlemore RBL B drop from fourth to seventh although they do have games in hand on all their rivals.

In the weeks scheduled matches, Westcott A slipped up 4-2 at home to Headington RBL B. Headington took the lead through Wayne Montgomery, before Brian Hawes levelled for Westcott. Steven Green put Headington in front again, only for Andy Huxley to restore parity once again. Ron Glover beat Glen Presley to secure victory for Headington.

Oracle C are the new leaders following two matches against East Oxford Con A. In the week’s scheduled fixture Oracle came out on top 4-2, while in the rearranged match it was EOC A who won, also with a 4-2 scoreline.

Despite picking up 5 points from their second win of the season, County C slip to the bottom of the table because of the results ‘catch-up elsewhere. County’s win came at the expense of Eynsham D whose only point came from Roy Gascoyne who beat Lee Smith 50-37 in the third frame. Earlier, John Ayres lost to Andy Cooper, while John Dutton was defeated by Dave Clarke.
