Dave Noake was in fine form for Oracle A in their battle with County B. Noake took the opening frame 96-1 which included breaks of 23 and 69. A shell shocked Nigel Wilkins recovered somewhat in the second frame, but a break of 34 was enough for Noake to win 58-41. Kevin Hicks got County onto the score card when he took the third frame 52-40, only for Richard Saunders to win the next 50-36 to restore Oracle’s 2 frame advantage. A break of 22 in the fifth frame enable Jamie Saczak to get the better of Nick Anderson 63-22, but Anderson claimed the final frame 48-38.

Abingdon Con B recorded their second win of the season with a 5-1 victory against their A team. Kevin Broughton and Gerry Clapton contested two close frames with Broughton taking the first 47-42 and Clapton the second 44-39. Stuart Fenwick beat Bill Cook 53-12, 53-23 and Derek Hall completed the match with a 67-5, 64-45 win against Fred Brett.

Witney D came from 3-0 down and move up from fourth place to top the division following a draw with Riley D who slip from second to fifth. Robert Adkins fired Riley into a 2-0 lead thanks to a 52-26, 51-29 win against Clive Burnett. Greg Moyses extended Riley’s lead when he out gunned Julian Marks 48-9 in the third, but Marks replied by taking the fourth 58-2 in similarly one sided fashion. Phil Smith completed Witney’s comeback with a 53-29, 65-18 win against Wayne Reddy.
