House Club A remain unbeaten and sit proudly at the top of
the Division. Their latest success was a 4-2 win over
Cowley Con D, but they had to come from behind to do it.
Anthony Turner beat
Brian Field 44-20, 50-41 to put Cowley two up, but from then on
House Club took over.
Tony Smith beat
Doug Turner 44-27, 46-28 to level matters and
Sam Nichols completed
House Club’s recovery with a 53-12, 49-15 success over
Simon Painter.
The second and third placed teams, Littlemore RBL A and New Club B respectively, did battle and ended hopnours even. Nigel De-Banks (Littlemore) and Paul Moss (New Club) traded frames 34-50 (Moss), 40-29 (De-Banks) before Brian Smith beat Luke Purcell 65-40, 47-33 to give Littlemore a 3-1 lead. It was left to Simon Marriott to rescue New Club and he did this with an empahatic 57-19, 56-36 win against Steve Fitzgerald.
