New Club A completed their recent rise through
Division One and now sit at the top following a 5-1 win away at
Witney C. The first frame went to
New Club, thanks to
Ian Gee who allowed his opponent,
Ben Calcutt just 2 points in the process. Calcutt then replied to win the second frame on the black. From then on
New Club took control and they won the remaining 4 frames courtesy of
Justin Shepherd who beat
Colin Adams and
Alan Mander who defeated

It was honours even between Cherwell A and their near neighbours Woodstock A, a result which was enough to ensure Woodstock hold on to second place. Stuart Reeve put Woodstock 2-0 up when he beat Steve Benwell only for Ray Benwell to get the better of Justin Page to level matters for Cherwell. Andy Benwell then took the fifth frame to put Cherwell 3-2 ahead but he could not stop Priyan Shah fro winnig the final frame. Ashton A lifted themselves off the bottom of the table with a fine 4-2 win against last week’s divisional leaders Riley C. Pete Fenn beat Ed Downey got Ashton of to the perfect start, before Simon Surrage took the third frame for Riley. Alan King then replied to restore Ashton’s two frame advantage. When Altaf Ali defeated Terry Chambers in the fifth frame a draw looked possible, but Chambers hit form and blitzed Ali in the final frame.
