Season Competition Rules
Snooker 2004/5 <H3>Snooker Team Cup Competitions</H3> <em>Without exception, all league teams will be automatically entered into two Team Cup Competitions as follows:</em> <table border=1> <tr><th>Competition</th><th>Division(s)</th></tr> <tr><td>Jubilee Cup</td><td>Premier Division only</td></tr> <tr><td>Simonds Cup</td><td>Divisions Premier, 1 and 2</td></tr> <tr><td>Bint Cup</td><td>Divisions 1, 2 and 3</td></tr> <tr><td>Sherlock Cup</td><td>Divisions 3, 4 and 5</td></tr> <tr><td>New Team Cup</td><td>Divisions 4 and 5</td></tr> </table> <p> IN ALL COMPETITIONS a claimed frame will count as a 49 to 0 win.<p> <H4>Jubilee Cup</H4> The winner in all rounds is the team securing three or more points from an available points total of five.<br> Each of three players will play one opposing team player to an aggregate best score over two frames.<br> One point is to be awarded for each of the aggregated two frames won and a further two points awarded to the team with the greater aggregate score over the six frames. <br>Consequently it is possible to lose 2-1 over the course of the frames, but still win 3-2 on the aggregate best score. <p> <H4>Simonds Cup</H4> The winner in all rounds is the team securing four points or more from an available points total of seven.<br> Each of three players will play one opposing team player over two consecutive frames.<br> One point is to be awarded for each frame won and one point to the team with the greater aggregate score over the six frames. <p> <H4>Bint Cup</H4> Played to the same format as the Jubilee and new Team Cups. <p> <H4>Sherlock Cup</H4> Played to the same format as the Simonds Cup. <p> <H4>New Team Cup</H4> Played to the same format as the Jubilee and Bint Cups. <H3>Snooker - Individual and Pairs Cup Competitions</H3> <em>In all competitions</em> a claimed frame will count as a 49 to 0 win. <H4>Buildbase Cup</H4> Every registered player should have an opportunity to play in this competition and have an equal chance of winning, irrespective of ability or the division in which they play. To this end, the competition will be handicapped. Because of the number of registered players the competition is split into Team and Individual phases. For additional information please click on this link. <H4>Walt Bradbury Cup</H4> Open to all registered players. The winner is the first to win three frames in every round except the final when it is the first to win four frames. Some players will be seeded as decided by the Management Committee. <H4>Walt Bradbury Trophy</H4> Open to all registered players who have not previously won this competition, the Walt Bradbury Cup, the Arthur Goodwin Memorial Cup or the Ted Allsop Masters Cup. The winner in all rounds is the first player to win two frames. <H4>Arthur Goodwin Handicap</H4> Open to all registered players. The winner in all rounds is the first to win two frames. Players will be handicapped according to the league division in which they play unless the Management Committee decides that any particular player is obviously of a playing standard appropriate to a higher division then they will be handicapped accordingly. <table border=1> <tr><th>Professionals <br>(clause 1.b)(iii))</th><td>-28</td></tr> <tr><th>Premier Division </th><td>Scratch</td></tr> <tr><th>First Division</th><td>+ 7</td></tr> <tr><th>Second Division</th><td>+14</td></tr> <tr><th>Third Division</th><td>+21</td></tr> <tr><th>Fourth Division</th><td>+28</td></tr> <tr><th>Fifth Division</th><td>+35</td></tr> </table> <H4>Ted Allsop (Over 50s) Handicap</H4> Open to all registered players over 50 years of age on the first Tuesday of September preceding the season of the competition. The winner in all rounds is the first to win two frames. <H4>Sherman Pairs</H4> Open to all registered players with the restriction that a pair must be two players each having played more than two league matches for the same club during the season of the competition. The winners in all rounds is the pair with the best aggregate score over three frames. References
