House Club B travelled to fellow Division Two side
Abingdon RBL A and came away with a
5-0 win. The first four frames were see-saw affairs with the Abingdon players going in front only for their margins of victory to be overhauled by their
House Club counterparts.
Bill Cook took the first frame 53-43, but
Keith Philpott replied to take the second 59-33.
Fred Brett then won frame three 51-39, with
Paul Larkins replying to take the fourth frame 49-36 to nick the aggregate by a single point.
Mike Augar rounded things off with an 88-32, 67-37 win against
John Dawson.
