Gary Cowlin put the A side in front, beating
Dave Bough 55-21 in the opening frame, but Bough then replied 54-29 to take frame 2.
John Butcher then won the next two frames to give the A side a 3-1 lead before
Malcolm Bough beat
Ron Reddy 59-27 in the fifth frame to make it 3-2. Reddy then ensured victory for the A side when he took the final frame 51-26.
Witney A are up into second place following a 5-1 win over Bury Knowle A, whose only point came courtesy of Andy MacBryan who beat Gavin Wright 69-45 in the final frame of the match. Earlier, Lewis Calcutt beat Ian Hunter 57-28, 63-32, while Grant Conquest saw off Chris Stone 102-18, 77-9. Conquest made breaks of 54, 41 and 45.
