Comments:
Thame won the first frame with a close game. Then Derek Syrett slaughtered Paul Robinson, while potting extremely well for Thame to take a 2-0 lead. Fieldside won the next three games so we went into the last game 3-2 ahead, but behind on aggregate. It meant whoever won the final frame would determine which team won. Aggregate no longer mattered.
After a 40 break, Bob was nearly over the line, but ran out of position needing only 3 points. Rob put some scoring shots together and was left with a red off the spot to win the match, with the white close to the cushion. He missed it, and Bob then scored off the red in the very next shot to win the match instead.
